Our Mission
Dedication and Service
Sophia Refugee Support Group (SRSG) is a student-led volunteer group founded in 2017, led and advised by Professor David H. Slater. It was originally created based on a research project at Sophia University called Refugee Voices Japan. Now SRSG is consisted of about 100 members, with diverse background and faculties, and we have not only exchange and postgraduate students but also students from other universities in Tokyo.
Our support initiatives are to realize our vision of a Japanese society that is more open, multicultural, and welcoming regardless of one’s nationality, ethnicity, race, religion, and gender.
